The Compliance Officer contributes to the gaming compliance lifecycle in various international markets. The role will focus on ensuring the company adheres to regulatory requirements, especially within the gambling sector and involves obtaining and maintaining licenses, monitoring for compliance risks, and providing advice on evolving regulatory frameworks. The role also includes AML/CFT duties, such as conducting due diligence, reporting suspicious transactions, and aligning with international standards to mitigate the risk of financial crime. 

✍️ Your daily tasks will be 

• Conducting regulatory research and staying abreast of developments in multi-national gambling regimes, identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  
• Regularly updating and implementing compliance policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals tailored to each jurisdiction.
  
• Providing expert compliance advice to internal teams, ensuring all departments align with regulatory requirements.
  
• Acting as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities, managing queries, audits, and inspections efficiently.
  
• Managing the application process for obtaining and maintaining gaming licenses in several countries, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  
• Monitoring compliance with license conditions, reporting and addressing any breaches in a timely manner.
  
• Coordinating regulatory reporting processes and submitting accurate reports to local and overseas authorities.
  
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective AML/CFT program in accordance with applicable legislation in different jurisdictions.
  
• Performing customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) on clients, monitoring their activities to ensure compliance.
• Conducting AML/CFT risk assessments for partners, ensuring effective controls are in place to mitigate potential risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
  
• Collaborating with internal teams (legal, finance, product) to ensure that compliance efforts are integrated seamlessly into the company’s operational framework.
• Working closely with the partners (platform providers, operators, affiliates) to ensure their compliance with AML/CFT and other regulatory standards.
  
• Conducting due diligence on potential and existing partners, identifying potential risks and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  
• Leading the onboarding process for new partners, ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
• Performing ad-hoc compliance-related tasks as needed, ensuring flexibility in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory landscape.

✔️ What we expect from you

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  
• University degree in law, compliance, or a related field.
  
• At least 3 years of experience in a gambling (both online and land based) compliance, regulatory, or AML/CFT role.
  
• Deep understanding of multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks, especially in online gambling operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT principles and best practices, including KYC, CDD, and EDD procedures.
  
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, high-paced business environment with competing priorities.
  
• Proven experience managing compliance projects, including licensing, audits, and regulatory reporting.
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing projects with minimal oversight.
