The role will be part-time, 10 to 15 hours per week, 6 months contract.

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to lead the migration of our data team’s AWS services from a centrally managed account to their dedicated AWS account. This part-time role involves close collaboration with the data team, DevOps engineers, and security teams to ensure a seamless transition with minimal service disruption. 🎉
 

✍️ Your daily tasks will be

• Project Leadership:
  - Plan and execute the migration of AWS services, including Redshift, S3, EC2 instances, and SNS/Firehose pipelines.
  - Coordinate with internal teams and AWS consultants to ensure smooth execution.
• Service Migration:
  - Migrate and configure Redshift, ensuring integration with existing data pipelines and minimal downtime.
  - Oversee the transfer of S3 buckets and EC2 instances, maintaining data integrity and security.
• Networking & Integration:
  - Configure networking within Cloudflare’s VPN solution for secure communication between accounts.
  - Set up AWS Sagemaker in the new account and integrate it with the migrated Redshift service.
• IAM Roles & Security:
  - Design and implement IAM roles, policies, and permissions to ensure secure access and proper resource management.
  - Review and configure security groups and access controls in line with best practices.
• Testing & Documentation:
  - Conduct thorough testing to ensure post-migration functionality and performance.
  - Document all processes and provide a comprehensive handover to the data team.
  

✔️ What we expect from you

• 5+ yrs of experience in AWS cloud services, proven experience in migrations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM roles, policies, and security best practices.
• Experience with Cloudflare VPN and networking configurations is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
